There’s no “Sex and The City” without Samantha Jones (Kim Cattrall).  I know, I know look around and it seems like every piece of media surrounding “Sex and The City” is all about Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker).  I love Carrie Bradshaw like the rest of the world, but for me “Sex and The City” wouldn’t have been the same without Samantha Jones’s sassy style, quick-wit and clever tong. 

Samantha Jones embraces her uninhibited sexuality, and radiates confidence in everything she does.  On a regular basis Samantha Jones speaks the words that so many of us want to say, but just don’t dare.  Who else can use f**k, and d**k in almost every sentence and still be taken seriously.  Some Sex and The City watchers identified with Carrie, others with Charlotte and Miranda, but me; I choose to live vicariously through Samantha Jones.

Although Walk the Line is far from Reese’s highest box office movie, it still tops my list.  This intense film was a huge stretch from the typical Reese Witherspoon character and she shows everyone. Needless to say these wouldn’t be the movies that topped my date night list but they are a TOP pick for the perfect mommy and me afternoon movie with my daughters. 

Sorority girl turned lawyer – What’s not to love… Elle Woods (Reese Witherspoon) is a California girl who would do anything to keep her man. Even if it means fallowing him off to law school! This star filled cast includes Reese Witherspoon, Luke Wilson, Selma Blair, Matthew Davis and Victor Garber.  This comedy with a heart of gold is one of my mom favorites. Madagascar Escape2Africa

What’s a more perfect way to celebrate fall and the quick approach into winter?  A Sunday afternoon Movie.  In the winter months my 7 yr old and I typically enjoy a weekend matinee, while my husband catches up on the Sunday Ticket (Football) It is always a great way to bond and perfect mommy and me time with my oldest daughter.

Our trendy pick of the week was Madagascar Escape2Africa. And it gets a Trendy MOM kids shoe must see..

Madagascar Escape2Africa – As usual DreamWorks does a wonderful job of making a movie that is enjoyable for kids and adults alike.  All the fun and fantasy that grabs our children’s attention but at the same time troughs in some adult humor to keep the parents entertained. Filled with music, dancing, and laughter filled moments.

Alex, Marty Melman and Gloria and the whole Madagascar gang strive to head home to New York City but end up back home where it all began – Africa.  These lovable characters find themselves back in the wild – where they discovers their roots, and work to determine if this beautiful place is better then the home they have grown to know in Central Park.

In the highly-anticipated sequel to “Madagascar”- was well worth the weight and we loved it.

The voices of Ben Stiller, Chris Rock, David Schwimmer, Jada Pinkett Smith, Sacha Baron Cohen, Cedric The Entertainer, Andy Richter, Bernie Mac, Sherri Shepherd, Alec Baldwin and will.i.am. bring this star studded group of characters to life and into our hearts.

The cast makes this an easy to watch family film perfect for a Friday movie night.

Mary (Selena Gomez) is a high school senior filled with dreams of auditioning for the Manhattan Dance Academy. Working hard to achieve her dream while balancing slaving away for her guardian a washed up pop singer and her twin daughters. That is until the magical night where she meets the unexpected man of her dreams -Teen pop star Joey Parker (Andrew Seeley). The two meet at a masked ball where Mary’s identity is unrevealed leaving Joey clamoring to find out who the girl of his dreams truly is.

A match made to enchant us all Joey searches to find out who his true Cinderella is.  Not an easy task when every girl in school is clamoring at the chance to grab Joey’s attention, including Britt and Bree.   

Unlike most Cinderella stories this great flick doesn’t leave the big reveal until the end of the movie but instead keeps your attention which silly antics, plans to split the adorable pair up and great dance scenes.

OK parents lets get real there are tons of cheesy moments but it isn’t all bad.

Without giving away too much, the move is fun and enchanting and some of the unconventional elements make “Another Cinderella Story” well worth a view. If you have a tween this movie is a Trendy Mom Kid Shoe must see.

The Dark Knight – shows off a shining star..

The Bat Man Comic book turned popular thriller strikes again. The Dark Knight hit the mark for me and my hubby.  We were of course in suspense like most to see Heath Ledger in his final film, and we weren’t disappointed. 

After the other Bat Man movies I wasn’t convinced that this was going to be on my must rent list, but here we are and The Dark Knight totally gets a Classic Black Heel recommendation, from this Trendy Tip Mom. 

The Dark Knight is best in the series by far.

Bat Man – The Dark Knight surpassed my expectations for the typical sequel to Batman Begins.  Christian Bale (Batman) and Maggie Gyllenhall (Rachel Dawes) were good, but completely left in the dark shadowed of Heath Ledger who had an exceptional performance.  His performance encompassed, sick, evil and homicidal what a perfect combo.  Ledgers impeccable portrayal of The Joker was top notch and blew me away. 

This Scary-funny performance is a Trendy Tip must see!!
