I recently read a great piece on teen blogger Jane Aldridge, that has taken the fashion world by storm.  Having a pre-teen myself that loves everything to do with fashion, I was totally impressed with Jane Aldridge’s drive and focus.   Through the eyes of a teen you see the purest vision of fashion and self expression and Jane Aldridge shows this through and through.

TROPHY CLUB, Texas — Jane Aldridge hoped to get a few readers when she started a style blog at 15. Today that sounds impossibly modest.

Aldridge’s retail ventures have included designing a trench coat for Gryphon with her mother Judy, who has her own blog called Atlantis Home. Gryphon designer Aimee Cho said she liked how the mother and daughter were able to wear a lot of the same clothes, but in different ways and have fun with fashion.

“I do think clothes should be fun and that’s what I like about Jane and Judy,” she said. Cho said blogger, especially teens, offer an unfiltered perspective.

Trendy Tip Moms search google and you’re sure to fine over a million pictures of our future First Lady, Michelle Obama.  That’s right over a million!  I have to admit it does scare me a little that throughout the presidential election so much attention was paid to not only the clothing and attire of Sarah Palin but also that of Michelle Obama.  The Chicago native’s fashion has come into focus throughout the campaign and now as the race is on to see which designer Michelle Obama will adorn for the inauguration just a few days away.

Working class mom, daughter, wife and First Lady, what ever you call her she is a fashion leader in her own right.  Likened to Jackie O’s distinct style, Michelle Obama looks classy but comfortable all at the same time.  Only in modern society is the fashion of our future first lady garnering as much attention as her political view.  Throughout the campaign Michelle Obama has dawned the fashions of White House/Black Market, J Crew, and many local Chicago based designers.  Her claim is to wear versatile fashions that are not only classic and timeless but also affordable.
