Celebrity Sun Kissed Glow without harmful UV exposure

Good-bye Leather Sun Dried Skin
Hello – Sun Kissed Glow
When you think about an over exposure to the sun, what is the first thing that comes to mind? For me it’s Magda, the room-mate from the movie “Something about Mary”. You know the kind, maybe you are the kind.
I wonder if someone told Magda that UV exposure can cause a thickening of the skin creating a look of leathered, dry and wrinkly over sunned skin. Not only does it look bad, but it’s essentially melanoma waiting to happen.
The increased focus on skin cancer over the last 10 years or so, heightens ever day. More than 1.3 million new cases of skin cancer were diagnosed in the United States last year so staying safe in the sun is more important than ever.
There are 3 main types of skin cancer:
- Melanoma
- Basal Cell Carcinoma
- Squamous Cell Carcinoma
Each form of skin cancer is deadly in it’s own way, Melanoma is the most deadly. Melanoma skin cancer metastasizes at a more rapid pace than the other skin cancers. It’s believed that the amount of exposure of the skin to the sun before the age of 20 is actually one of the key determining risk factor for melanoma.
If this hasn’t been enough to make you slather on the 100 proof sun screen, you may be beyond my help. If I have your attention, you will want to read on. Protect Your Skin

Looking after your skin is a top priority throughout the year and any season. Using simple tips to protect your skin both inside and outside of your body:
Prior to heading out into the summer sun:
- Keep Hydrated – Drinking water throughout the day – one to two liters is the perfect blend. In hot weather more water is always better.
- Keep your eating light – Don’t eat heavy foods, instead keep your tummy happy with light sun friendly foods like – salads, fruit and vegetables.
Keeping it cool once you’re Outside:
- Don’t take chances – burnt skin is your enemy. During the summer avoid damaged skin and sun burns by getting into the habit of applying a high SPF sunscreen regularly.
- Apply and Reapply sunscreen before and after swimming. Even waterproof SPF’s need reapplication, don’t be fooled.
- When the sun is at its hottest, between 11am and 3pm you’ll want to take extra care and stay inside or within the shade to avoid the strongest sun of the day.
- You can still look like a fashionesta when protecting yourself from the harmful rays of sun. Wear a floppy hat to keep the heath off your head can also keep those skin damaging harmful rays off your healthy skin.
- If you choose to get your tan on out in the sun, make sure you finish off the day with a liberal application of after sun cream – or even skin soothing aloe vera.
- Cleanse, tone and moisturize your skin both morning and night to keep it in peak condition.

Teeth Whitening at Home
- by admin
Living with discolored teeth can be embarrassing, particularly if you’re not smiling because of your teeth. Teeth Whitening has quickly become more popular over the last several years, primarily because we are a society consumed with looks and beauty.
Luckily, with the increased popularity of teeth whitening, there are several options of teeth whitening products that will restore your confidence to start showing off your ”Hollywood” smile.
No more dentists needed to achieve that beautiful white smile, which also means you won’t have to pay “an arm and a leg” for the perfect teeth whitening product.
When selecting your Teeth Whitening product and process consider the following:
1. Convenience – Whether you are a busy executive with limited spare time or a busy mom that can barely fit in yearly teeth cleanings between play dates and after school activities, the convenience of online store to explore home teeth whitening products is the perfect solution. It’s fast, easy and you have ample opportunity to educate yourself and read user results and facts at the click of a finger.

2. Save Money – These days everyone is looking for additional ways to save money and the decision to make an investment in a cosmetic improvement to your appearance isn’t one you want to take lightly. The cost of Teeth Whitening will play a key role in the decision making process. If money isn’t a concern, you can head for the dentist any time for a teeth whitening option. On the other, if you’re a working professional or a family on a budget, and you understand the true value of money, you can simply opt for a home teeth whitener and save your hard earned money.
3. Save Time - If your teeth whitening schedule is rather busy, avoid a dentist and use a convenient home based remedy.
Stop hiding you smile there’s a teeth whitening product unique and just what you’re looking for and it’s just a click away.
Remember that generally the main ingredient that whitens is a type of peroxide. Typical teeth whitening solutions come in either a paste or gel form, containing hydrogen peroxide. Stain removal on the teeth by both of these products containing peroxide work effectively. Because the solution is strong, usually between 10 and 22% peroxide, it is important that it isn’t used on the gums and you follow instructions closely for best results.

You are what you eat – Super Foods for the whole family.

Super Foods for the Whole Family…
We each have different nutritional needs right? If you want to discover the best foods for both you and your family, keep reading…..
Doing some research, I found that one in every five women have so history of UTI’s otherwise known as urinary tract infections. I am the fortunate one only having one urinary tract infection ever, but I am among the few lucky few. The average woman has three a year,” My mom use to tell me that cranberry juice was the cure all for urinary tract infections, was she right? I can’t tell you for sure, but I am a cranberry juice drinker and we have already discovered that I get luck every year with only one UTI. Coincidence, I don’t think so….
Here are my top pics for disease-fighting foods for the whole family.
1. Oysters. Myth has it that oysters are the food of love, an aphrodisiac you might say. Science may just agree. Just two to three oysters deliver a full day’s supply of zinc, a mineral critical for normal functioning of the male reproductive system. Scientists are divided over reports that sperm counts have declined over the last 50 years and that environmental factors are to blame. Getting adequate zinc is sometimes the answer. In one trial, 22 men with low testosterone levels and sperm counts were given zinc every day for 45 to 50 days. Testosterone levels and sperm counts rose.
I am thinking that my husband will likely take a Zinc pill over eating an Oyster. Either way it’s never been so easy to get my husband to eat something that might be good for him.
2. Broccoli. This lucky mom has two growing girls that love Broccoli. Who knew that forcing my children to eat their green veggies could save their lives? A recent Harvard study finds that cruciferous vegetables, like broccoli, may protect against bladder cancer. It’s one of the most common cancers in the US and affects two to three times as many men as women. Broccoli and cabbage lead the pack of the most protective foods.
3. Peanut Butter. The jiffy commercials were right, eating peanut butter does make your heart beat a little stronger. If you want a healthy heart, spread your morning toast with peanut butter. Heart disease is the leading killer of men and women, but men fall victim at an earlier age. “Peanut butter is a little higher in fat,” says Penny Kris-Etherton, Ph.D., the lead author of the Penn State study. “But it’s the type that’s good for you — monounsaturated fat.” Researchers have predicted that the peanut diet could reduce heart-disease risk even more than could the AHA diet. Just don’t go nutty plastering on the tasty spread, since it is high in calories.

4. Flaxseed. Years ago a nutritionist encouraged me to take flaxseed as a part of my daily regimen to help with joint pains and aches. Who knew that Flaxseed the ingredient that bakers use for that nutty-flavor could be so good for you? It doesn’t look very appetizing but scientists say the tiny reddish-brown seed, rich in estrogen like compounds called lignans, are a potential weapon against breast cancer. An exciting report at last year’s San Antonio Breast Cancer Symposium showed that adding flaxseed to the diet of women with breast cancer effectively slowed tumor growth. You can flavor your muffins with flaxseed, but the easiest way to get the beneficial lignans is to sprinkle a few tablespoons of ground flaxseed on your morning cereal. Look for the seeds in health food stores or in supermarkets on the flour aisle. They’re easy to grind in a blender or coffee grinder. But get seeds — there are no lignans in the oil.
5. Buffalo Meat. That’s right Meat and more Meat, who knew. Due largely to menstruation, women tend to be anemic more than men. Low iron levels in blood can cause severe fatigue and fatigue doesn’t work well for busy moms like you and I. To get a good dose of iron, try bison. Buffalo meat is lean and has what diet-conscious women understand, Buffalo Meat has lots of iron and less fat than most cuts of beef. Buffalo meat can help boost energy and lower weight. And you don’t have to have a home on the range to get some bison anymore. You can pick it up at many supermarkets across the United States, or look for a local bison ranch in your area. You’d be surprised how many there are.
