There’s no “Sex and The City” without Samantha Jones (Kim Cattrall).  I know, I know look around and it seems like every piece of media surrounding “Sex and The City” is all about Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker).  I love Carrie Bradshaw like the rest of the world, but for me “Sex and The City” wouldn’t have been the same without Samantha Jones’s sassy style, quick-wit and clever tong. 

Samantha Jones embraces her uninhibited sexuality, and radiates confidence in everything she does.  On a regular basis Samantha Jones speaks the words that so many of us want to say, but just don’t dare.  Who else can use f**k, and d**k in almost every sentence and still be taken seriously.  Some Sex and The City watchers identified with Carrie, others with Charlotte and Miranda, but me; I choose to live vicariously through Samantha Jones.

Protect Your Skin

against Sunburn

Looking after your skin is a top priority throughout the year and any season.  Using simple tips to protect your skin both inside and outside of your body:

Prior to heading out into the summer sun:

• Keep Hydrated – Drinking water throughout the day – one to two liters is the perfect blend. In hot weather more water is always better.
• Keep your eating light – Don’t eat heavy foods, instead keep your tummy happy with light sun friendly foods like – salads, fruit and vegetables. 

Keeping it cool once you’re Outside:

• Don’t take chances – burnt skin is your enemy. During the summer avoid damaged skin and sun burns by getting into the habit of applying a high SPF sunscreen regularly.  
• Apply and Reapply sunscreen before and after swimming. Even waterproof SPF’s need reapplication, don’t be fooled.
• When the sun is at its hottest, between 11am and 3pm you’ll want to take extra care and stay inside or within the shade to avoid the strongest sun of the day.

I recently read a great piece on teen blogger Jane Aldridge, that has taken the fashion world by storm.  Having a pre-teen myself that loves everything to do with fashion, I was totally impressed with Jane Aldridge’s drive and focus.   Through the eyes of a teen you see the purest vision of fashion and self expression and Jane Aldridge shows this through and through.

TROPHY CLUB, Texas — Jane Aldridge hoped to get a few readers when she started a style blog at 15. Today that sounds impossibly modest.

Aldridge’s retail ventures have included designing a trench coat for Gryphon with her mother Judy, who has her own blog called Atlantis Home. Gryphon designer Aimee Cho said she liked how the mother and daughter were able to wear a lot of the same clothes, but in different ways and have fun with fashion.

“I do think clothes should be fun and that’s what I like about Jane and Judy,” she said. Cho said blogger, especially teens, offer an unfiltered perspective.
